Aari Triangle Bag — Purple, Bloom

This triangle bag features traditional Kashmiri Aari embroidery, hand-embroidered with wool thread.

The Bloom design features flowers opening outward from flowing stems and leaves across the surface. The embroidery is worked in chain stitch by hand, creating a rich texture and slight variations in every line.

Triangle bags with Aari embroidery can be found in Kashmir, but for this piece, we chose to work with hand embroidery. The small irregularities in the stitches and patterns are traces of the hands that made it.

The embroidered cotton is finished with dark brown sheep leather, giving structure to the distinctive triangular form.
