Aari Triangle Bag — Blue, Bloom

This triangular bag is made with hand-embroidered Aari work, a traditional Kashmiri embroidery technique worked with a special hooked needle.

We were drawn to this familiar triangular form, and wanted to make it in a way that places the handwork at the center. The Bloom design features flowers opening outward from flowing stems and leaves across the surface. The embroidery is worked by hand in continuous chain stitches across the cotton fabric.

The embroidered panels are combined with leather, giving the bag its distinctive structure and contrast.
